There are many good songs on BTS’ “LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear'” and Airplane pt.2 is one of them.
At first, I did not really think about figuring out the chords for the song as I thought there could be some difficult-to-figure-out chords because of the Latin sounds. As it turned out, you never know until you try.
The whole song comprises only 2 chords – Cm and Bb. That’s it!
Airplane Pt. 2 is a follow-up to J-Hope’s Airplane, a track from his mixtape “Hope World”. Other than the theme, a section of the lyrics from Airplane was also used in the song.
The music and arrangement has a Latin rhythm which makes it very catchy. The lyrics speaks of their journey, from wanting to be successful to being able to travel around the world to meet and perform for their fans.
BTS performed Airplane pt.2 during their comeback promotions for “LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear'” and also when they appeared on The Ellen Show. There is also a Japanese version with an MV.
